Robert Rodriguez has traveled an exciting sports road, breaking into the business as sports reporter/anchor for a small FOX affiliate in California’s central valley in 2007. Since then he has graduated from the San Diego State Sports MBA program, interned with the San Diego Padres, Learfield Sports and SDSU Athletic Department. Shortly after receiving his degree, Robert went to work at FOX Sports International. During his time with FOX, he aided in the launch of the 2010 FIFA World Cup coverage on FOXSoccer.com, supported the development of FOX Soccer2go and mapped the social media strategy for FOX Deportes.
Jose M. Romero is one of the veterans in the brotherhood of Latinos in American mainstream sports media. He's been in the business since 1997, when he took control of a small bilingual newspaper's sports section in his hometown of Portland, Ore., and transformed it into a place for sports features and coverage of games involving area college and pro teams. Since then, Jose has worked for the Seattle Times as a sports writer and is now a freelancer for the Associated Press and anyone else who helps him pay the bills. His teaches sports writing at Arizona State University's renowned Cronkite J-School, and his work has appeared on such sites as Fox Deportes, SB Nation, Fox Sports Arizona, the Arizona Republic website, MLB.com and MLSSoccer.com.
