Phoenix Rising debuts new jerseys for 2018 season

TEMPE Ariz. -- Phoenix Rising FC revealed new Macron brand jerseys for the 2018 season Friday night at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe. 

It was a special night for all the soccer fans who came to support Phoenix Rising for the free, open to the public event. Many soccer teams do special events when showing off new uniforms for fans. 

This event was full with fans of all ages from kids to adults, everyone excited and anxious for the reveal of the new jerseys.  

To start of the fashion show they played a video introduction of the previous season, and how far the team has come.

One of Phoenix Rising owners, Berke Bakay, thanked all the fans for supporting the team from the very beginning.

“I do want to thank you, Arizona has always been united and this time last year we didn't  have our stadium yet,” Bakay said. 

The chief branding officer of online car-buying company Carvana, Ryan Keeton, was in the building to tell the fans how his company will be the sponsor on the jersey for Phoenix Rising FC from 2018 to 2020.

The evening started with local radio personalities Kenny Sargent, Crash Gladys and Rico Hernandez as the hosts for the night.

“We are here to see the debut of the 2018, what I call unis,” Sargent said. 

The fashion show started with Gladys introducing the players with what they like, things they like to do, and what they were mostly known for.

Hernandez stopped the fashion show and put rookie James Musa through Phoenix Rising's version of hazing.

“Everyone has to go through it,” Hernandez said. 

Hernandez told Musa that he had to sing, Musa did not hesitate and just started singing. The crowd started singing along with Musa and that was one of the highlights of the night.

The team modeled all the new clothing that was available for fans to purchase at the event. The new shirts, sweaters, hats, and socks were available for purchase prior the fashion show. With the new designs that fit all sizes.

Another option that the fans who attended the event had was to purchase the jerseys first and to customize them or shirts as they pleased. All the new jerseys are now available online at

Fans were also given a Didier Drogba bobblehead. Phoenix Rising recognized all the VIP members and season pass holders with justsports gift cards. The gift cards were ready to use at the event, that gave the fans the option to buy the new jerseys or any of the other new merchandise that night.  

At the end of the fashion show Phoenix rising had an autograph table for the fans. They were able to get autographs, interact with the team one on one and take pictures with their favorite players wearing all the new clothing items and the new uniforms.

 Some fans shared how excited they are to see the team with their new uniforms and they can’t wait to see what this season will bring to the team as they have new players.   

The first appearance with the new logo will take place on March 17, at the regular season opener.
