The big strength weekend kicked off in Charleston.
An estimated 375 of the world’s elite strongmen and strongwomen gathered at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, WV, to compete in 12 divisions at the 2023 Official Strongman Games (OSG) from Dec. 1-3, 2023. 2023 World’s Strongest Man champion Mitchell Hooper stood at the entrance to greet the athletes who came into the arena.
The big strength weekend kicked off on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, with the Stand or Submit Press Medley opening event. The athletes performed an Overhead Axle Press, the Circus Dumbbell Press, a Yoke Press, and a Block Press in the quickest time possible, up to 60 seconds. The weights varied between the divisions and are listed below, followed by the results:
