The agencies of Twice’s Jihyo and South Korean skeleton racer Yun Sang-bin said it’s difficult to confirm the dating rumors hounding the two as the report involves their personal lives.
Reports about Jihyo and Yun’s relationship started when Korean media outlet Sway said they had been dating for a year after meeting through an acquaintance on Monday, March 25.
The report also added the rumored sweethearts became “close” through their mutual interest in exercising.
Despite this, Jihyo’s label JYP Entertainment said it is “difficult to confirm” the reports because it’s a “personal matter” involving the K-pop artist.
“It is difficult to confirm as it is [Jihyo’s] personal matter. We ask for your understanding,” JYP told Korean media outlet Xportsnews in a brief statement.
Yun’s agency All That Sports likewise echoed JYP’s statement as well. “As he is no longer an active athlete, we do not manage his personal life. It is difficult to confirm,” it told Maeil Business Newspaper via a Soompi translation.
Born as Park Ji-soo, Jihyo debuted as the leader and main vocalist of Twice in October 2015 after being a trainee for 10 years. She eventually legalized her name to Park Ji-hyo.
Jihyo is the second Twice member to debut as a solo artist with her first EP “Zone” in August 2023, which also consists of the lead single “Killin’ Me Good.”
Yun, on the other hand, is dubbed the “Iron Man” of South Korea’s skeleton racing industry, which involves an athlete riding a bobsleigh while lying face down. He was a gold medal winner in the men’s skeleton racing category at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The athlete also appeared in the show “Physical: 100.”
