Sinner and the Italian team get congratulated by Swiatek
In Malaga, Italy was represented by Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, Matteo Arnaldi, Lorenzo Sonego, and Simone Bolelli.
Sinner, 22, acknowledged Italy has a very talented and promising team and highlighted that they will be aiming for more success in the near future. โWe know that we have a lot of potential in each of our players, also the captain and everyone.
I think we are all really young, except… Simone. He has played this for 15 years. So he gave us a lot of experience in one way, and I think the player who is playing the match sees this kind of thing. Matteo (Berrettini), who came for us, was really important.
We are all very young. We are really hungry to try to win it one more time for our life, but having this feeling at least once, it is a really special feeling,” Sinner said. Meanwhile, 38-year-old Bolelli – who has won a Grand Slam title in doubles – described winning the Davis Cup title as “the most incredible emotion” he has ever felt.
โIโve played this competition for 15 years and today was the most incredible emotion of my career,” Bolelli said.
