There it is. End of an era in Toronto. Siakam was the last remaining piece from the 2019 championship core, and now it’s official: his iconic Raptors tenure is over. https://t.co/x33bE4jq2y

Haliburton/Siakam two-man game is gonna be a thing of beauty.

Siakam will fit awesomely in Indiana, and was one of the greatest Raptors success stories of all time.

Pascal Siakam was a great Raptor, full stop. He just aged out of where the Raptors are, now. He’ll be great in Indiana.

Haliburton and Siakam is a nice duo.
3 first-round picks tho? For an expiring?

Good trade for Pacers!!! Siakam can’t be 1a on a good team, let him be the 2nd or 3rd option and yall got a good team
— Isaiah Thomas (@isaiahthomas) January 17, 2024
I mean, I don’t know. It feels like the Raptors dropped the ball here from start to finish with Siakam.
The haul is … fine?? Considering the circumstances. But dealing with Indiana and not getting ONE of their young pieces is pure mismanagement by Toronto’s front office.

Pascal Siakam was easily one of the coolest stories in Raptors history. Arguably one of the best development stories in basketball history. Will forever be amongst the best in franchise history. An NBA champion. The windex bottle laugh. A leader. All-NBA.
Indy got a good one.

New Pacers forward Pascal Siakam just got off a phone call with coach Rick Carlisle and president Kevin Pritchard. Siakam maintains his Bird Right’s with Pacers who are expected to re-sign him in free agency. Appears doubtful Siakam will debut for Pacers tomorrow at Sacramento.

The inclusion of Kira Lewis from
New Orleans allowed Indiana to match Pascal Siakam’s salary without including another player besides Bruce Brown and Jordan Nwora. Pelicans had been looking to move Lewis dating back to this past offseason, sources said.— Jake Fischer (@JakeLFischer) January 17, 2024
“I’m excited that Pascal is getting a first class opportunity with the Pacers, being paired with Tyrese and Myles and being coached by a great coach in Rick Carlisle. His future their looks bright there,” Pascal Siakam’s agent Todd Ramasar tells @andscape about trade to Pacers.

The best thing I can say about the Pascal Siakam deal is it’s better than losing him for nothing. They did well in OG trade, but this one is a fumble. Let’s see what they can get for Trent, maybe Boucher …

Pascal Siakam trade is worth the risk, gotta do whatever it takes for Haliburton if you’re the front office
