Nick Kyrgios is warning his competition that they would not want to see him return fully healthy as the Australian tennis star is determined to make a strong comeback to tennis. Kyrgios, the 2022 Wimbledon runner-up, had surgery on his knee in 2023 January before sustaining a wrist injury shortly after kicking off his season in June. After being limited to just one tournament in 2023, Kyrgios will also miss the start of the 2024 season and the Australian Open.
“Ya’ll don’t wanna see the healthy return,” Kyrgios captioned one of his Instagram Stories.

Kyrgios, who had his career-best season in 2022, wants to continue where he left off when he returns to tennis.
In another Instagram Story, Kyrgios posted one photo taken at 2022 Wimbledon and wrote: “We will be back at the top.” Kyrgios also tagged his manager Daniel Horsfall on the post.

Kyrgios won’t be ready for the start of 2024
After hinting in November that he may not be ready for the 2024 season, the worst fears became reality when the Australian tennis star confirmed he would not be able to compete at Melbourne Park for the second consecutive year.
“Obviously had a really tough year with injury, had that knee surgery and came back a little bit too soon and set me back a little bit, then obviously had some wrist issues. So this is a very disappointing time for me, but I won’t be able to compete at the 2024 Australian Open. Obviously heartbreaking. I’ve had so many amazing memories there and I just want to really get back to playing at the top of my game and doing it right and I need a little more time. I was so close to winning a grand slam – I want to make sure that my body is going to have the time it needs to come back, so please bear with me,” Kyrgios announced earlier this month.
It remains to be seen when Kyrgios will be ready to start his 2024 season.
