Novak Djokovic took another record away from Roger Federer: the Serbian is the Master of Masters, the man who has won the most titles in the history of the ATP Finals. The only one, since the tournament was founded, to win the year-end Master 7 times, during his amazing career.
Talking about a timeless champion is no longer even fashionable: Novak Djokovic has gone beyond the limits of being human, divinely approaching the Nirvana. The Serbian star proves once again that he is the best of all, the greatest sportsman ever, overcoming Jannik Sinner in a highly anticipated final, in front of thousands of Italian fans, present at the PalaAlpitour in Turin.
Djokovic takes away another piece of history from Roger Federer
After the very tight battle lost in the groups, the 36 year old could only came back himself in the most important match of all, in which he boasts an enormous wealth of experience compared to the Italian tennis player.
In the final of the tournament, Djokovic left the Italian no chance, showing off a performance of exceptional level, in terms of quality expressed. On serve, it was without a doubt one of the best matches ever played by the Serbian tennis player.
A striking and truly impressive fact: only 8 points were won by the world number 4 in response. And Roger Federer, who until the 2018 edition of the Australian Open could feel sure of being remembered as the GOAT, is slowly seeing the main records that he had achieved in his legendary career slip away.
For now, like a bulwark in the middle of the sea that resists the elements, the record for titles won at Wimbledon remains. But Djokovic, at 36 years old, still seems to maintain an exceptional state of form: within two seasons, even this last great record could be taken away from Federer and Djokovic.
