Tennis Now’s Ted LePak reports on the mysterious death threat against Federer’s life. The Williams’ sisters 70 year old dad just fathered a baby boy! Also results from Beijing and Tokyo.
(October 5, 2012) — Coming off his break, Roger Federer headed to Shanghai for the Shanghai Masters next week. Upon Federer’s arrival a death threat was posted on a popular Chinese website targeting him. Police and other government agencies have been contacted to increase security during the tournament. The threat read:
"On October 6, I plan to assassinate Federer for the purpose of tennis extermination,"

Serena and Venus Williams have a new baby brother. Their father, Richard Williams, has become a dad again at the age of 70. Williams’ 33-year-old wife Lakeisha didn’t attend the U.S. Open to see Serena win her 4th title, because she was recovering from the birth of the baby.

In Beijing, Maria Sharapova will play Li Na in the semis while Victoria Azarenka takes on Marion Bartoli.
At the men’s event in Beijing, Novak Djokovic will face Florian Mayer in the semis while Jo-Wilfried Tsonga goes head to head with Feliciano Lopez.
Over in Tokyo, Andy Murray takes on Milos Raonic while Kei Nishikori battles with Marcos Baghdatis.
