Martins Licis led Team USA to the gold in Liverpool.
The 2023 World’s Strongest Nation (WSN) contest occurred on Oct. 18, 2023, at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England. It featured a rematch from the 2022 edition of the competition between team leaders Martins Licis at the helm for the USA versus Eddie Hall leading the charge for Team UK. After seven events — Team Power Stairs, Tug-of-War, Wrecking Ball Hold, Head-to-Head Circus Dumbbell, Head-to-Head Axle Deadlift, Team Farmer’s Carry, and Team Sandbag Steeplechase — Licis and Team USA were crowned the victors, avenging their loss to Hall and Team UK in 2022.
