The No. 1 University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill women’s tennis team qualified for the ITA Indoor Championships in Seattle with a 4-0 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats, on Saturday afternoon at the UNC’s Cone-Kenfield Indoor Center.
The Tar Heels will then travel to Seattle for the ITA Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Washington Feb. 9-12. North Carolina is seeking its fifth consecutive ITA Indoor championship.

Reese Brantmeier and Elizabeth Scotty quickly gave the Tar Heels the double lead after winning 6-1 on the first court. Shortly after, on court three, Abbey Forbes and Reilly Tran earned double points for North Carolina after winning 6-2.

The five Tar Heels began singles play by winning the first set. Then, Abbey Forbes won her second set 6-2 to give Carolina their second point of the day. Fiona Crawley won 6-1 to move North Carolina closer to a fourth point. Finally, freshman Thea Rabman gave UNC its fourth point after winning its second set 6-0.
